Pocketship Builders,
I'm very interested in building a Pocketship. Before I start this ominous labor of love, I'd really like to see a Pocketship in person. I live in Southeastern Idaho. Might there be a builder in Salt Lake City, UT or Boise Idaho, or Jackson Hole MT? Have van, willing to drive. Please give me a call if you live anywhere nearby.
Best,
Brent Butikofer

OK, how about the nearest Pocketship to Idaho in the West?

I'm registered to have mine at the Wooden Boat Festival in Port Townsend this year -- I'm still a little tentative on it based on the whole COVD situation, but hope to make it.
There used to be a professionally built PocketShip based out of Sandpoint or Coeur d'Alene, but not sure who the owner is/was.
I think Jer McManus was in western MT.

I have the boat built in Montana by Jerry McManus . It is now in Wenatchee Washington. I talked to Brent a few weeks ago about my experience so far with a Pocketship. I would be a good 7-8 hours drive from Rigby, ID but would happy to give you a tour/sail if you have a reason to come by this way . Tom

Hi Tom, I would appreciate talking to you about the Carlyn J. if you still own it. I’ve sent you a private message if you’re checking…

Great idea!
I too am dreaming of building a Pocketship and would (wood?) like to see one in person.
Is there one under construction or completed in the Upstate of South Carolina (Greenville area) that I could look at and pick your brain?
Thanks, in advance.
