More Ballast Questions

Postby Mike&Laura on Sun Nov 14, 2021 10:02 pm

I’ve been doing some research on different ballast options and wondered if anyone has tried tube sand bags? It would be a much cheaper option, but what might be the issues I would have with them? The lead and steel options are pretty expensive and also wondering if it’s worth the savings on cost. Would love to hear any thoughts on this.

Sand is not as dense as lead or steel, so you would have to pack the ballast spaces pretty full.
