Ways to 'see' misc color schemes before painting?

I'm curious if anyone has run across or developed a method for projecting various color schemes on PocketShip.

That is, BESIDES using MS Paint for a quick and dirty.

I have a friend who knows Photoshop and I'm going to see what he can do. But I'm wondering if there's a good augmented reality app (or some such) out there that handle something like this quickly and easily.

Sure wish CLC would develop something like this. Just imagine if they had a picker tool on their site to change the colors in their line drawings. (ahem!)

Nice! Did you make the half-model the totally old-fashioned way, or did you use a CNC carver or 3D printer?

I carved the models by hand. I am a reluctant occupant of the 21st century. :D

Ha! Bob, you're killing me. How much you charge for those models?! ;-)

Well, looks like MS Paint it is. Unless my Photoshop buddy comes through.

And Jon, I'm just finishing your blog by the way. Doug, been through yours. Appreciate both of you for taking the time to document your builds. Terribly helpful for me.

Bob, did you blog yours by chance? And I mean 'on the internet' not papyrus.
