I agree with everyone else who has replied. Do the pouring yourself. It will make you feel good. Do several small pours and pour immediately once the lead is melted preventing over-heating. Block up the entire structure with lots of stone and clamps and yes, coat all inside surfaces with two or three coats of epoxy before pouring the lead. It's my opinion that the epoxy somewhat protects the wood from charring.
