How did you mount the bronze ABI deadlights? Did you just use bronze bolts with the nuts
tightening right on the plywood, or did you put a brass ring on the inside to finish it off?

I cut out a mahogany ring to be flush with the flange on the interior and epoxied it in place. I then used brass screws to attach the port to now thicker topsides of the boat. Brass bolts would probably be even more secure and with acorn brass nuts would be a nice little interior detail. Supposedly there was a matching brass ring from ABI but at the time it either wasn't available or I thought it was an unnecessary extra expense.
