I'm at the point where I will have to enter the unfinished hull to stich the bulkheads in and I fear damaging the panels ( I weight 260).
So i'm asking those who have gone before, what method did you use to keep from falling thru ?
Temporary bunks ? Mission imposible hanging harness ?

I always kept my weight over the keel or directly over the cradles. You can even sit on the centerboard trunk. I only weight 175 and i still didn't feel comfortable stepping on the panels between the cradles.

Yep, it's a balancing act, you can check out my May 5th blog posting for more details. Once the floorboards and bulkheads were in place I used some temporary planks across the floorboards when accessing the inside of the hull for filleting etc.

When Geoff Kerr and I were discussing PocketShip for the first time, he had just built a large stitch-and-glue boat that had no keel or floor structure. It was almost physically impossible for him to reach inside---definitely Mission Impossible harness work. So the assembly sequence, with the keel and keelson there from the beginning, came together in part to give Geoff something---anything---to stand on inside the hull during assembly. It works great.

I'm about the same size as you and was worried about working inside the hull. I cut a 1/2" piece of plywood to lay on the floor supports and worked from there. It worked for me, should work for you.
