Welcome and thanks for signing up. With the torrent of interest in this design and lots PocketShips under construction, we thought we'd create a place where you can gather to chat and post photos.

Photos need to be uploaded to the World Wide Web before you can post them here. There are many free photo-sharing web sites. Flickr is a good one, and a lot of people seem to use Photobucket. Just type "free photo sharing" into Google and pick one.

Here's one way to post an image.

1. Click on the button above this text box that says "Img". This is what will pop up:

[img]blank[/img]

2. Open a browser window and go to your photo-sharing account.

3. Choose the image you want to post here, and right-click with your mouse on the image. (MY photo-sharing account happens to be my very own website, http://www.clcboats.com, so I have it easy.)

4. After you right-click on the image, a window called "Properties" will pop up. Copy the Address (or URL). My example photo's Address (or URL) is http://www.clcboats.com/images/photos/b ... andJib.jpg

5. Past that address in between the brackets (where I typed "blank" above):

[img]<---paste-the-URL-here--->[/img]

And you should now have an image embedded in your post. Sounds a little complicated if it's your first time but it quickly becomes old hat.

If you would rather skip the photo-sharing sites, you can upload images directly with your posts. Click on the Upload attachment tab beneath the window that you are typing in:


Click on Choose File and navigate to the image on your computer. Select the image and then click Add the file:


Put your cursor at the spot in your post where you would like the image to appear and click Place inline:


The name of your image will appear between attachment tags, like so:
[attachment]...image name here...[/attachment]

You can always click the Preview button to see how your post will look:


Try to keep the size of your images within reason. Thanks!
