I've purchased a pile of a scrap lead, now cluttering up a corner of the shop. It's in 15-45 pound chunks, basically 100% pure so it's very soft. (You can chop it into smaller bits with a bandsaw or even a chainsaw.) $2.00/pound if anyone would like to pick some up. Not much fun to ship... Just shoot me an email: http://www.clcboats.com/forms/contact_us.html
We also have, by popular request, organized "timber packages" for PocketShip's non-plywood bits. Tracking down local materials is still likely to be a bit cheaper, but not if it's the same quality as this timber and definitely not if your labor to find it is applied.
