coast guard lables

Does anyone know what the Coast Guard requirements are for labeling on a Pocketship? The regulations say they apply to anything under 20 feet except kayaks, sailboats, and inflatables but don't say how to lable the exceptions. Any thoughts?

It is my understanding: given an example capacity label like

For recreational boats 19 feet 11 inches or less, sailboats or other boats not covered by the requirement just delete the words US Coast Guard at the top of the label and delete the certification statement at the bottom of the label.

That's easy enough, I guess the next question would be for John. What are the correct capacities? The catalog says 1600 lb payload but the plans seem to imply that's the maximum displacement.

They also request that you include a phone number/ email/whatever; especially in small craft so that when your boat is found adrift an expensive search and rescue operation can be avoided. paul
