Wooden Boat Festival 2011

Postby JonLee on Fri Aug 19, 2011 1:36 pm

Hello Fellow PocketShip Builders (and Pocketship sailors, and PocketShip enthusiasts),

Is anyone planning on attending this year's Wooden Boat Festival in Port Townsend, WA, Sept. 10-12? I was thinking that if there were a couple of PocketShipers there, we could arrange a mini-meetup...put faces to names (or screen names), share experiences, grab something to eat, tell John C. Harris jokes, whatever.

If anybody is thinking of going (it's awesome!), and is interested in spinning yarns with other PocketShipies, respond to this thread, or (if you don't like the whole world knowing about your wooden boat addiction) send me a private message.

Yes, that would be fun for all the PocketShipies, to get together. I'll be at the festival Friday and Saturday. My project is coming along kind of slowly due to time constraints--running a business full time + wanting to be out on the water kayaking and other summertime things. But the hull panels are glued together and I'm starting the filleting, so it's starting to look like a boat, anyway! That'd be fun to swap stories and ideas at the Festival.
