graphite mix on keel

Postby chaertl on Wed Aug 24, 2011 9:40 pm

Has anyone tried the West System graphite/epoxy mix for the bottom of the keel? I'm planning on doing the bottom three inches or so where it drags onto the trailer for wear resistance. Any thoughts?

Didn't use graphite mix, but installed 3/4" half oval on the keel. It slides very well on the bare wood of the centerline bunk. I have applied grease and bee's wax to the bare wood.
