Hi everybody,

Here's a weird thought for the day. Since lead shot seems to be running about $2.00 a pound would filling the ballast area with concrete after placing some tubing to keep the limber holes open be an option?

Incidentally Lead weights about 700 lbs/cf and concrete around 150 lbs/cf. So that concrete would take up almost 5 times the volume for the same weight as the lead.

Plus, you wouldn't be able to move the ballast around to optimize it's location.
