Auxillery engine tachometer / cumulative timer

Postby tattoo on Sun Jan 15, 2012 7:53 pm

Did you notice the little black object set on Tattoo's transom next to the engine in the first photo posted in my Auxillery line? A really nifty device costing about $35 plus shipping. Requires no batteries. Works on two and four stroke engines. It gets its signal from a wire that is simply wound 3 times around the engine's spark plug wire. When the engine is running it shows rpm. When stopped, it shows cumulative hours on the engine since installation. The web site is http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/8/ ... meter.aspx .
