Welcome to PocketShip.net! This bulletin board is for builders of the Chesapeake Light Craft-John C. Harris "PocketShip" design, a 15-foot micro cruiser sailboat built from a kit or plans.
This site gathers PocketShip builders in one place. Here you can share photos, tips, questions, and---eventually---your sailing adventures in PocketShip! CLC will also post design updates and tips here as they come up.

Yeah, that's precisely what you do...create a 1'6 sheet of plywood, roll out those incredible 16' long sheets of paper that constitute the full-sized plans, lay out the parts, and have at it with the saw of your choice.
Dang, she really looks great! Love the red hull. Printed out the picture your PS tied up at the pier with the sun setting in the background. Many congrats and good luck. I'm stitching the hull to the keel this week. Thanks for the motivation.........
While on the subject of more space, I have been thinking of a finkeel and eliminating the centerboard. Perhaps a deeper skag with more ballast. How much deeper and how much more I don't know. I live on a lake in Wyoming and it would be nice in higher winds.
