Bottom Panel to Keelson Gap

Postby jwv630 on Thu Sep 27, 2012 7:15 pm

Hi Everyone:

I'm now wiring up the bottom panels to the keelson. Port side looks great. But there's almost a 1/4" gap at the spot where the starboard panel meets the forward most point of the keelson. Is a 1/4" gap acceptable or do I need to remedy? If remedy, suggestions greatly appreciated.

Fair well,

I had a gap in the same spot and just filled it. As long as it's completely filled when the cloth goes over it on both sides it shouldn't cause any problems. When you get to joining the top panels to the bottom above that area be ready with some good clamps though since that's the toughest joint to get closed up in the whole hull.
