Welcome to PocketShip.net! This bulletin board is for builders of the Chesapeake Light Craft-John C. Harris "PocketShip" design, a 15-foot micro cruiser sailboat built from a kit or plans.
This site gathers PocketShip builders in one place. Here you can share photos, tips, questions, and---eventually---your sailing adventures in PocketShip! CLC will also post design updates and tips here as they come up.
We'll try to knock down spam as quickly as possible.
A couple of pictures taken during today's outing on the river. Going upwind in about 15 kts of wind (hence the reef) with a bit of chop on the water. These conditions made for a bouncy ride ...
So we had an eventful FL-120 this year (3rd time with the PocketShip in 8 years). It included an aborted rescue of a capsized Mayfly and rig failure that required beaching and some on the fly engineering and repairs. We finished the entire thing and nobody was worse for wear.
