PocketShip Companionway Dodger

Postby John C. Harris on Mon Feb 17, 2014 11:31 am

Speaking of early drawings of PocketShip, most showed a small dodger over the companionway. This would allow the drop boards to remain out and the companionway slide open when it's raining. The cabin would feel bigger, and ventilation would be improved if it was rainy and muggy.

I stole the geometry of this particular dodger from a 1960's Sparkman & Stephens yawl in which I was lucky to have an offshore delivery trip. It could be folded forward in an instant by releasing two bungie cords at the aft, lower corners.

This is all I have for drawings and instructions.

Not sure how well the image will show up here. You'll need to use the sliders to see the whole image. Paste this URL into your browser for a big JPEG: http://www.clcboats.com/images/photos/b ... Dodger.jpg
