I give up, is there a trick to removing the okume plywood labels? I've tried a razor blade (which no matter how careful I am takes slivers of wood), fingernails (which doesn't work and also gouges the wood), slow-slow peeling (which doesn't work), alcohol soaks (which don't work). Am I missing something?

I sand them off. Gone in seconds with 120-grit, and it doesn't gum up the paper like you think it would.

80 grit is faster :D

If you're careful about it, it doesn't muck things up as much as you think. I'd say the stickers are the most annoying part of the package. The little nubs come off easily with 60 grit.
