I just wanted to commend John Harris and thank him for a great design in the Pocketship. I have built several of his boats and this one is the best one so far. I am building from plans and everything is coming together exactly as described. The kits must be a joy to work with.

I agree John did a great job on the design but it looks like you are doing a fantastic job on your boat. Congrats. It looks great and the best part part of your built is yet to come. :)

I agree, the idea is also on schedule and everything is accurate, it is a pleasure to build, according to John Harriss health Hood

hello Hood
What is your plan for those hatches? It looks like you boxed in the storage compartments. Or am I reading the picture wrong? I may decide to build my own self draining hatch covers with slam latches instead of using the prescribed hatch covers that almost always leak.

From someone mildly obsessed with electronics, I like the dashboard. Two circuit panels with 12v, radio, and a kill switch. Curious about the wires. Looks like they're in the cabin to keep them out of the way for now, but will run along the side panels and aft through the cockpit locker? That appears to be the only way they can go. In the cabin, they look like they run inside the 'molding' at the topside panel into the forward locker. I strongly considered this solution but went under the sole instead (through bulkhead 8).

Given he's running this off just photos, I am humbly impressed with the work.
