Symbols beside posts

Just curious. Does anyone know what those symbols by the post titles mean? They seem to be showing text lines,sometime moving, sometimes not. And there are stars or an i in a circle, and so on. What the heck are they?

They just mark about the page: moving lines if multiple pages, colored red if you've not red the post yet, and a star if you have commented on that thread. You can pick an icon of information, fire, star, etc above the subject line when you post (this should be a star)
