Anyone up for the Wooden Boat Festival in Port Townsend?

Postby John C. Harris on Tue Jul 08, 2014 8:41 pm

The Wooden Boat Festival is September 5-6-7. It's a about the best small-wooden-boat party on this continent. Anyone motivated to bring their PocketShip to the show? I know of at least four completed examples that aren't more than a state or two away...

We've brought PocketShip #1 out to the show the last few years. The 6000-mile+ round trip is hard on staff and equipment, and pretty costly, too: it's not just another truck and its fuel but also another driver, who won't be making the drive for charity, nor providing his own food and lodging...

At the moment I'm still inclined to bring our boat but I'd like to see if anyone's into bringing their PocketShip to the show. Be fun to have a few of them sailing in company.
