Jeff's Pocketship progress

Hello, Thanks John for setting up this forum....I've been making good progress to date. the hull is assembled and I'm almost finished with the interior Fiberglass, only one more section to go. Some of you might think I'm a little anal about keeping epoxy off parts I don't want it on but I hate sanding more than paying taxes. I've included a link to some progress photos and I'll add to when time permits. If any of you have any questions let me know. I've really enjoyed the other posts, lets all keep it up. Jeff

Jeff,
I'm a veteran woodworker though it's been a while since I've built a boat and WOW!- You're doing a beautiful job. I am very impressed with the quality of work. I also appreciate all your photos. Please keep posting them as you go. Thanks, Bill (LakeHuronSailer)

Jeff, those are some of the most mind-bogglingly perfect epoxy fillets I have ever seen. Outstanding work.

thanks John, Its really not that difficult to get consistent fillets. your description in the manual on fillet thickness "like peanut butter " is dead on. I also use liberal amounts of blue masking tape. I'll take a photo of my tools and how I tape stuff off and post them in a few days.

Did you pre-glass the bulkheads, or just put a coat of epoxy on them?

Outstanding work on your boat Jeff. So enjoy the photo progress. I am thinking about purchasing the kit and building the boat, but I can already tell mine will not be as nice looking as yours. Look forward to tracking your progress. C Moore

Mr. Moore, If your thinking of buying the kit I would highly recommend it. The plans and assembly book are very well written and loaded with photos. It's not that difficult if you can follow directions and take your time. Its very rewarding every step of the way, except maybe sanding. By the way thank you for the compliment.
