Single-handed launching and recovery without a dock

Postby craig on Mon Jan 19, 2015 9:37 am

I need some advice from the community.... during the winter I don't have access to a boat ramp with a dock. If I'm alone, any suggestions for how to safely launch the boat, park the car, and then retrieve the boat? I thought about tieing a long line to the shore and pushing the boat far out into the water, but then wind will push it around and potentially into something I don't want to run into. I suppose I could park fast and run back. Anyway, has anybody else had this problem?
