Plans builders--help, I lost parts of my dorade boxes!

Postby DanaDCole on Sat Apr 11, 2015 1:16 pm

I don't know if I misplaced them or accidentally threw them out, but I cannot find the two smaller, front-facing parts of the dorade boxes. If they were rectangles, I believe they would measure about 4 3/4" x 8 9/16". But of course they are not rectangles, they are trapezoids (or a similar polygon) so it would be nearly impossible for me to figure out all the angles and dimensions. Could someone please copy or photograph the diagram of this part from your plans and email it to me?

My email address is [email protected]. Thanks for your help.

Did you find your plans or get the needed copies of the dorade parts? If not I will send you what is needed. Let me know.

Thanks Jeff, I got what I need and the boxes are finished. BTW are you Jeff Hatch? (If you are) That is one beautiful boat you built. Looks like you have access to a large autobody shop along with lots of experience and patience. If my boat turns out half that good I'll be more than happy. I keep the URL to your pictures (https://www.flickr.com/photos/35243545@N02/) in my bookmarks, and any time I'm not sure about some detail I just look through the pictures and almost always find my answer.

Oops, sorry Jeff, I just saw your boat is not named "Maid of Ply," so you are not Jeff Hatch. I'm sure you have or will have a beautiful boat also. I am in awe of you guys who build from plans!
