What is it?

I found this lying by my bandsaw:

It obviously came from a kit (the attachment tabs have been sanded down; definitely marine plywood, 3/8" thick. The curve is almost the same as the front of the companionway hood, but not quite. I can't find it anywhere in the kit drawings for the PocketShip or the Skerry. I can't find my 17LT plans.

Any ideas?

I don't know why neither the image nor the URL worked. The code looks OK to me. I copied and pasted the URL, though, and that took me to the image. Sorry this is a pain, but I'm really curious about this thing.

I'm guessing a template for front of companionway hatch.

Just a guess but it looks like the section that gets cut out of the aft cabin bulkhead after the roof is on.

Ha! That's it (the section that is cut out of the rear cabin wall). Thanks for clearing that up--it just did not make any sense to me at all, but now I definitely remember it.

In answer to the earlier post, it is 9mm marine plywood, so definitely not a template. I should have included the dimensions, i.e., it is only about 25 inches long so too short to be the template for the front section of the hood anyway.

So thanks to both of you for your responses. I feel kind of stupid not realizing what it was, but this boat is such a big project I tend to forget things I did months ago. For example, I was looking at the cradle spacers and at first I could not remember what they were for and was looking at the cradle to try to figure out where the were supposed to be attached--until I finally remembered they were used to establish the distance between the cradles! :D

Well anyway, thanks again. Now I can stop worrying about what I left out somewhere deep inside the boat.
