Finally made the plunge!

I finally made the call yesterday to order the PocketShip kit and milled timber package! Can't wait to get started. I have the plans and I am already working on the nose block! I will apologize now for all my future questions, but I am not shy about asking questions and relying on all the knowledge and experience on this forum! I am planning on starting a blog to document the build. I will post that soon. I have read a lot of the blogs and will rely on them to help me through the process. I also hope to help future builders as well with my experience.

Lol, glad to be had! Very excited about the build. I worked about 2 hours today cutting the nose block. Need to finish up with some sanding, but about 90% complete.

Chris, did you do a blog or have pictures for me to view? Would love to see your work and hear about your sailing experience.

I chronicled every part of my build with pictures - though I did not blog at all - I keep the pictures mostly just for my reference and memory.

Keep the questions coming, everyone is happy to help. There was a thread last spring about reinforcing the nose block since it takes a lot of punishment from the trailer and groundings. The suggestion about resin impregnated rope on the leading edge is pretty good and I'll be doing that next time I have to patch that area up.

Here is mine!

It really does become a boat...some of the most fun I ever had was building it and sailing it. Enjoy ever step! I am looking forward to the next boat I build but I just have not decided what to build because this one is so good for what I use it for, I can't think of a better boat.

I also purchased the milled timber package. It is some very nice looking wood and they even did some of the scarf joints. I am impressed!
