Rigging

Hi all,

Has anyone used winches on pocketship? Or traditional brass cleats instead of the modern rigging I see in most pics? Thanks

Pocketship is too small and simple to need winches as the jib is easily managed without. Bronze cleats can and have been used. Brass isn't really great for cleats since it's pretty soft and is used mostly for decorative "boaty" items in nautically themed restaurants and the like. What lots of people see as brass on boats is really bronze. Bronze is great because it can be either kept polished or left to take on a beautiful greenish patina.
