I decided to put doors over the rear lockers. Lots of leaves and other debris were getting in there and birds kept starting nests. Pheobes were building a mud nest! I found some 9x18 doors that worked pretty well on DuckWorks, model DPF918. The only downside was that I had the cut the holes out to 7 1/2 x 16 1/2. Here's a photo of the port side door:



I had already installed the electrical outlet so was forced to put the doors a couple inches farther forward than I wished. I put bedding tape all around, but I really don't care if the doors leak a little--the water will just go out the rear drain holes.

Looks nice! I will have to consider when I get to that point, but I have a ways to go.

Thanks. I consider the hatches a must if you store your boat outside. Even with a tarp cover the birds and wasps find their way in--even leaves to some extent. Much cheaper hatches could be fabricated from plywood or acrylic with piano hinges and some sort of catch (or put the hinges at the top and rely on gravity). Might leak some, but that shouldn't matter. I decided to go the expensive route, but not horribly expensive--around $100 for the pair, including shipping.
