Sailing Hardware Question

Postby decurtis on Sat Apr 11, 2009 1:55 pm

I notice the Pocketship sailing hardware list calls for Harken 166 bullet blocks with swivel but the manual used Harken 081 blocks. I ordered most of the hardware by compiling my own list from the manual before the real list showed up on this forum. I couldn't find 081 blocks so instead ordered 082 blocks since they look just like the 081 blocks shown on pages 274 and 277 of the manual. However , I am confused because the 081 blocks shown on other pages of the manual definitely have a swivel like the 166's. How many of the nine 082's that I have can I use and how may of the bullet blocks absolutely must have a swivel?

Thanks,
Dave

I have included a photo of a successful and thankfully uneventful lead pour for the keel of my Pocketship.
