Does anyone know if bulkhead #7 gets stitched to the cradle the way bulkhead #4 does? It doesn't mention it in the book but they are close to being lined up.

I don't remember at all what happens to bulkhead #7, sorry. Am I remembering correctly that the hull stitches to the support cradle though? I'm pretty sure that you DO stitch the hull to the cradle to get it to fit. The hull doesn't want to take that shape. I even recall using a clamp at one point on the cradle to pull the sides out. The combination of stitching and eventually the push of the third side panel (put in place after the insides are all done) will ensure that the hull takes the correct shape.

Not sure what you mean by bulkhead 7 being stitched similar to 4. All bulkheads are stitched to the panels similar to the floors. Bulkhead 7 gets epoxied onto the centerboard trunk as does floor 4. Later after fiberglassing you pop out the insides of bulkhead 7.

I think Alyssa was referencing stitching the panels to the "building cradle", not other panels. I did stitch #4 to the bow cradle, but didn't stitch #7. All other panels get stitched together. I even added a few holes where I needed to pull things together. Especially in the bow.

Hi Ron, ah ok, I understand now. Yes,only floor 4 was stitched to the cradle. And I also had to add a lot of additional holes that were not drilled or aligned properly.
