drop boards

The manual (p. 279) doesn't say how to attach the wooden trim piece to the bottom edge of the top acrylic drop board; it just says to attach it. Is there an adhesive that is to be used for that or is it just screwed on? Same for the trapezoidal block for the drop board hasp. Screwed? glued?
Thanks in advance,
Bob

The same issue applies to attaching the locking Hasp at the top of the upper drop boards, and the plexiglass port hole covers.

For anything that needs to be attached to the plexiglass, I used carefully pre-drilled holes (outside hole counter sunk).

I carefully sealed the edge with a line of clear marine caulk, and used #6 flat head machine screws, with a washer, and a nylon self locking nut on the inside. Tighten the nuts just hard enough to 'flatten' the caulk, and be sure it squeezes out just a bit all around, but not too hard - the plexiglass can crack if you do. Clean off the excess caulk with a rag before it sets. You will end up with a very tight, waterproof seal between the wood and the plexiglass parts wherever you use this technique.
