Centerboard Pendant

The manual calls for drilling a bigger hole where the rope for the centerboard exits and then filling with epoxy so there will be no issues with water.
Do you do the same for the bolt hole for the center board sheeve? The manual just mentions marine caulk. I would think it would be a good idea as well, but wanted to get some opinions.

There is a bushing that goes in the hole for the centerboard if you have it make sure that it will fit in the hole you drilled. Check out this post http://www.pocketship.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=540. The manual has it wrong.

As far as the sheeve goes. I doubt you'll ever get water up that high. After 3 years of sailing pocketship I've rarely seen water as high as the centerboard trunk inspection ports (I've got clear ones).

See the picture attached from my blog. Zoom in to see better. I did drill over size and epoxy fill, redrill for the CB sheeve bolt.
