I love your paint work! I couldn't even imagine such an elegant paint scheme, let alone carry it out. The striping gives such a finished and classy look. Do you have any painting tips?

Jon, thanks for the kind words. I'm not a professional painter so I spent some time researching paint products. I used Interlux Brightsides one part polyurathane paint and Interlux Pre Kote primer and followed the directions exactly. I used the roll and tip method and the results are outstanding. Other than that use your imagination and come up with a scheme thats original and compliments the lines of the boat. Jeff

From your pictures it looks like you went with the Tohatsu 4HP long shaft outboard. What motor bracket did you use? My electric trolling motor experiment failed so I am looking at getting the Tohatsu 3.5 HP this summer.

Dave, thanks for the compliment..I did use the tohatsu 4hp. I chose a Garelick adjustable bracket. It is rated to 20 hp. and double the weight of the tohatsu motor. It gives more than enough adjustment and is extremely easy to raise and lower the motor. The reason I chose this bracket is I wanted the motor out of the water when sailing and I especially didn't want to modify the design of the transome.
