Heaving to?

I'm not that experienced as a sailor (four seasons so far) so there might be an obvious answer to this question I'm just not aware of. I have tried what little I know to make the PocketShip heave to properly and have not had much luck. What is the proper technique?

I don't have any problem at all heaving to in the PocketShip. Tighten and turn through the wind to back the jib. Ease the main and push and lash the tiller to lee. The boat will stear a zig-zag course very slowly to weather.

Bill

Thanks! I think I see what the problem was. I have a tiller clutch, so it will be easy to lock it to the lee side. Going to have to wait a while to try it out though.
