Painting: High Humidity

Hey Guys

Took a few days off work to finish sanding and paint the interior on my Pocketship. I heard that it was a bad idea to paint (or apply epoxy) when it was raining or very high humidity - and it's gonna rain here in Baltimore for the next 3 days. Hold off on the paint? Or hit it now?? Your comments appreciated.....

Jimmy,
Not sure what paint you are using, but from what I have researched, it says to not paint when relative humidity is above 85% and temperature must be 6 degrees above the dew point. Found this on Jamestown Distributors web site. If me, knowing the rain you are getting is about the same in Richmond, I would do some other bench projects. Tiller, rudder, companion way, etc.

Thanks

Yeah, good call; better safe than sorry. I'm using the Interlux Pre-Cote and Interlux Brightside. Good luck. Jimmy
