Half-Hull Models

Pictures are worth a thousand words. Right? Here's how I went about making half-hull models. I made tracings of the profile and plan views from the plans. The station shapes I "eye balled" (it's not a precise scale model, but close enough to try color schemes on.

The top model represents what I settled on as a color scheme for "Luna." I made a total of 4 (see previous post) models to help develop a color scheme I liked. Unfortunately, the green isn't represented well in these photos. The post below shows the full sized, "Luna" with better color accuracy.

Very cool! That's a way better way to test out paint colors than what I did (Microsoft Paint!).

I love your final color scheme, and that photo is fabulous...you should enter it in CLC's monthly photo contest if you haven't already.

Beautiful! Thanks for posting. I would love to make one of these (and probably will, when I get around to it!). I like how you went about making the templates.
