Question about access to interior

Evening all from the UK. I have tack welded my lower hull and I'm ready to start filleting. But … I struggle to see how it can be done effectively without getting into the boat. Is it safe to put a board across the tack welded floors to get inside the hull to do the filleting? Has anybody done this?

Thanks, Steve

That is what I did.

I did the same. Be sure to clamp the board down onto the floor joist on both ends or you may step on one end and get hit in the face with the other! Would not be good!

thanks

Thanks for the advice. Much appreciated. I will be working inside the boat tomorrow, for the first time!

Take that clamping advice seriously. I had the board slide out from under me at that stage and landed on the center board trunk. Only broke one rib fortunately.
