Removal of bulkhead 7

Postby SMHolmans on Wed Apr 17, 2019 2:41 pm

Evening from the UK. At what point do builders recommend removing the sacrificial component of bulkhead #7? I am doing my fillets and it is really in the way. The build manual says to remove it much later, after 'glassing the bottom panels, but that doesn't seem realistic to me. Grateful for your views. I'm minded to cut out the part that is interfering with my fillets and leave the rest of it until later.

I followed the manual and removed later. It may be hard to work around but could be much worse if accidentally broken!

I cut out a piece of the stiffener that interfered with the chine fillet. Seems fine!
