Very pleased to hear your suggestions, Bflat. I had already decided that the foredeck is the best place for the main anchor while sailing, so no worries about stowing that in the stern. And I really like the idea of storing the fenders in there - great idea. Thanks!

Not quite on topic...

But how are PS sailors storing their anchors on the foredeck? I recall one blog showing an anchor in a cut-down (maybe) laundry basket bungied into a corner of the foredeck, but I'm interested in alternatives.

My boat is in winter storage now, but come spring I'll take and post some photos of how I store my anchor and rode on the foredeck. I made a simple boxlike holder.
