Hi all. Any top tips on how to handle squeezed out epoxy in the stern compartment and the storage compartment when installing the decks?

It’s been a while, but I don’t recall anything special. I used a putty knife to run along to get the excess epoxy and then wipe off with a box shop towel. You can scrape in a cup as well. You will need to lay on your back and a good shop light will help with seeing. Along with that, you could tape off with blue tape on the stringers (before laying panels) and then pull that off after getting the larger amounts.

Don’t forget to put tape over the center board trunk and then cut off the excess. Page 111 middle picture of manual.

To get the holes correct for the temporary screws,I laid both panels down and climbed under and used a pencil to mark the location of the stringers and then drilled from the bottom. I would then pre-drill the holes in the stringers as to not split.
You could tape out around the pencil marks while the deck panels are out. This would help with squeeze out clean up too.

Hope his helps.

Thanks Ron. I think I will use blue tape on all joints, as you suggest.
