You are coming along and she looks good! FYI, I couldn’t view the images in this thread, but I looked at your blog.

Hi Steve,

I hope you can see the pictures now.
Otherwise you can find them on https://alupocketship.blogspot.com/

Today I tacked the roof. I'll put some of the newest pictures on the blog as well.

Looks very familiar in a strange way.

Really precise workmanship. Although I wouldn’t rate myself highly as a woodworker I have no feel for, or skills in, metalwork. Welding aluminum plate seems to be very dynamic technically as deformation needs to be factored.

Really nice job. Will this boat have any wooden features such as spars, hatches or rubrails?

Hi Wayne,

Yes indeed aluminum has deforming issues. These can be overcome with the right welding techniques, the order in which parts are installed en bending & stretching. Which all of them I had to learn during the proces :D .

And yes it gets wooden parts. The spars for example and I am stil considering other parts like a wooden trim on the seats.
Not sure about the hatch yet. Would look nice and its is a bit easier to construct.

Rubrails and footrails I probably make with ready-made profiles.
