Can the bolt for the CB sheave be threaded all the way through or does it require a non-threaded portion through the sheave?

I think the bolt should be smooth/non threaded where the sheeve will be turning.

Thanks

You definitely don't want threaded rod bearing on the sheave - over time it will wear it away, like a file. You need a smooth, unthreaded bolt supporting the sheave.
