I missed the MidAtlantic Smallcraft Festival for a wedding. But PocketShip was there at the dock, and managed to collect First Place in the "Contemporary" division. The day after the show, Kerry and I drove down to collect the boat and couldn't resist a sail in beautiful Fall weather.
The following weekend, Ed found a spot in the water for PocketShip at the Annapolis Sailboat Show, one of the largest sailboat shows in the world. (100,000 people, I'm told.) Our spot was in the midst of rows of yachts ranging from $500,000 to $10,000,000. Everyone seemed to enjoy the contrast. Our booth (on land) was a good ways off so we didn't man the boat, but I think hundreds of people climbed aboard to check out a boat that cost less than the jib sheet winches on some of its neighbors.
