Project Kermadec completed

Postby TassiePete on Sun Dec 16, 2018 7:56 pm

After about 20 months of working on the boat, the project has been completed. My website (https://sangohuon.wordpress.com) has been cleaned for new things to come. Because I have had quite a bit of (positive!) feedback about the blog, I have taken all the posts about Kermadec and compiled them into a booklet. This document can be downloaded from the site and obviously freely distributed to anyone building, or thinking about building. The information (and the pictures) might help people to get an insight into what is involved building a Pocketship ... but please, always follow the official plans and manual (more or less :? ).

Cheers,

Peter

Kermadec looks great! Thanks for sharing the build and some of your different ideas. I downloaded the pdf to keep as a reference. Nice idea.

So what is your next project? Another boat?

Thanks
Ron

Hi Ron,

John Welsford 'Penguin', 21' glued lapstrake, rigged as a gaff cutter, 5 year project, ...

I just had a look at your blog. Your boat is coming along nicely too.

Cheers,

Peter

Hi Ron,

You are not supposed to be looking at boat plans until you have finished the Pocketship.
However, just in case you are wondering, these were my 'finalists':

JW Penguin, Glen-L Amigo, Whisstock #012, Oughtred Grey Seal and Roan Mhor.

Unfortunately, JH doesn't offer any design for a 20'-25' coastal/offshore "Pocketcruiser" (as yet ?) ...

Cheers,

Peter

Hi there,

I would love to get a copy of the e-booklet if still available somewhere. The wordpress site given is now locked as private.

Thanks!
