Hatch cover plans?

Postby Robblackburn on Fri Apr 14, 2023 10:45 pm

Hello,

I have been lurking here for a while but have finally taken delivery of a lovely Pocketship called Kermadec from Tasmania in Australia. I got her home yesterday and have been having a look at the whole thing today with a mate. Beautifully built by Peter Kreb. Faultless everywhere I look

My question to the group is that the hatch cover around the hatch slide has a few weathering issues and I don't have a set of plans for the boat. I have bought a copy of the building manual but as the boat was built from a kit I don't think Peter got a set of plans.

Is there anyway I can get hold of the plans for the bits and pieces that make up the hatch cover without buying the whole lot?

Hey Rob, I don't know what part you are trying to repair exactly but I have attached a photo of portion of plan page 10 that shows some detail. My Pocketship was built by someone else and I needed to fix quite a few builder errors that made the boat unusable but I did have the plan set that came with the boat.

If that is not it you might try asking CLC for help with a drawing. When needed to fix some errors made by original builder they were a big help. I got a pdf of the tabernacle for example and later a pdf showing where bow eye should be located. They will likely help you Tom

Thanks for that. Have got it back to bare wood and it is drying out nicely so reckon I am ok and won't have to rebuild. Will epoxy and glass in a few days. Is drying quickly actually.
