dock fender placement

Postby MattaOTS on Sun Jun 13, 2021 9:28 am

Hi,
I am going to keep my newly completed pocketship at a marina slip this season, and am trying to figure out how and where to mount hardware to hang fenders. I am thinking place one fender on the stern using the stern cleat. I'm also thinking to add a cleat to the very back edge of the cabin deck and hang a 2nd fender from this, although this isn't the widest section of the hull. I hesitate to drill through the water tight section of the seat back a bit further back where the hull is the widest, mostly because I couldn't reach the inside to thru bolt the cleat. Looking for suggestions from others who moor at a dock slip and what's worked for them.
