I made a Bimini for my boat using leftovers from the cover I made. It’s still in prototype stage, but I thought I’d show what I’m doing. It was a bit of a trick to get it low enough to allow the boom to pass over, but high enough so it clears my head (I’m 6’1”). Now, I do have the steam bent semi-circular gallows, but it might work on the standard one. I did have to move the bridle for the main sheet behind the gallows, and that might have some interference with the posts on the standard gallows. It folds down and is pretty much out of the way when not needed. In any case, I had it out for the first time yesterday and it was a hot sunny day here. It was really nice having the shade. Oh, yes, my boat needs a good cleaning.
