Janey Mack launched on November 22nd. Kit build started mid April 2016 through the Central Florida heat and humidity. Although not the most comfortable climate for this outdoor project (considered naming her Blood Sweat and Beers), construction was under a tent and with the aid of a large fan it was not too awful. Also didn't have to consider cold weather black out periods for fiber glassing.
Very little wind yesterday so no real sailing but did get to practice rigging etc. and discovered areas where mods are required (throat halyard block needs to be raised by at least one foot to allow the sail to be fully raised).
I cant praise the CLC design highly enough where launching, rigging and sailing solo is no problem. That all of the rigging comes back to the cockpit is really clever.
The travelling sail cover is very neat and easy to fit and comes from a contact of Captain Charlie.
While my sailing skills are adequate, my trailer reversing skills definitely need work. Maneuvering the boat down the boat ramp had all the hallmarks of a drunken sailor.
Hope to get in plenty of sailing over the Thanksgiving weekend in glorious 75 degree(ish) weather.
